another year over

Thank you 2012. Thank you family and friends.

I switched jobs twice (3 jobs in one year – a new personal record) and met people I will always remember. For good and bad. I thank you all for the inspiration, reflections and experiences you brought along.

Who knows what 2013 will bring.

Maybe next year...

one last practice

The year is comig to an end. But we managed to squeeze in some football before the fireworks.

Kristoffer practicing chipping under the floodlights.

We'll be back tomorrow. In 2013.

rise of the guardians

Waiting for the movie to begin.

With special Hobbit 3D-glasses.

Looking good is important.

ice street

Not easy to walk today.

No need for boots. Skates would have been a better choice.

retro in the rain

A phone booth.

They still exist. Even in mobile Norway.

spareribs and chicken on a stick

Dinner yesterday evening.

The new Christmas cuisine. The kids love it.

Sunday, December 30

snow bath

After football practice: Kristoffer hits the snow.

Cooling down in the thick wet snow.

football tennis 2 – video referee

Kristoffer celebrates while Jesper argues that the ball didn't pass the "net".

You be the judge.

deuce

Jesper and Kristoffer play football tennis.

And so it continues.

green green grass of home

Back on the artificial turf.

Kristoffer shoots and scores.

global warming

The snow that fell yesterday had melted during the night.

From minus 8 to plus 4 in 3 days. And tomorrow will be below zero again. Hey ho.

Saturday, December 29

from the outside looking in

Cosy and christmassy.

Cold out here.

tastes of troll

Trollish wine holder.

Definitely on top of my wish list for next Christmas.

super mario and the kinky nurse

New Year's party is coming up. Be inspired:

Dress for success: Medicine woman or Mario – that's entirely up to you.

the christmas sheaf

It's raining, but it still looks like Christmas.

Just need to add a bullfinch or two.

to sweden and back

We went south today. Crossed the border and headed for Nordby Supermarket + shopping mall. Everything's cheaper in Sweden.

Stopped for diesel just outside Moss. It was raining.

We reached our destination. Still rained.

We didn't buy beer. Which makes us kind of unique, I guess.

Behold, a new version of the Christmnas tree. Yes, it's raining.

Christmassy light decorations.

And a trumpeting angel.

Then we had lunch and went back home. In the rain.

relocating the white stuff

Snowfall all night.

Had to move som kilos to get the car out.

Friday, December 28

frozen river

Lysakerelva/The Lysaker river.

Frozen river in a frozen moment.

winter walk

Walking an skiing.

Silhouettes against the snow.

it's beautiful but i'm beginning to long for spring

Woke up, looked out through the window. Another beautiful day.

And went out to get the morning paper.

Baby it's cold outside.

Man, I don't like it cold. I'd rather be safe and warm on a summer's day.

Thursday, December 27

midwinter full moon

Day turns into night.

And the white world turns blue. Sweet winter dreams.

a beautiful winter's day 4 – lysaker brygge

Lysaker Brygge by the Oslo Fjord.

Who's there all alone?

A naked woman in the snow. Ready for a swim?

Humans only:

The water looks inviting.

Perhaps it's time for a quick winter bath?

a beautiful winter's day 3 – granfossen waterfall

On my way to Granfossen Waterfall 10 minutes away from home.

Crossing the bridge over the fall:

This sign indicates that it's an old pilgrimage route:

The fall has frozen.

Next stop: Lysaker Brgygge.
