first triumph and then a bad day

Stabæk 2002 won the first three matches today; 3-1, 4-1, 3-0. Then Kristoffer got hurt just in the beginning of the fourth and couldn't play anymore.

He chose the last piece of music himself.

football shop

Christmas all year 'round.

Can never get enough jerseys.

good morning winter sun

Earlier today.

And the we went shopping and later to an indoor football tournament.

Thursday, February 7

an iphone moment

All of a sudden winter turned brown.

Or is it just my iPhone?

beware the black exclamation mark

Someone's been messing with the top of the triangle. The nerve.

Anleggstrafikk = Construction traffic.

mr. muscle

That's me – without all the superficial stuff.

The bare truth.

Wednesday, February 6

a minor car accident

Two younger women and an old man. One of the ladies is calling someone on her mobile.

What has happened? Who has been driving with whom? Who has crashed/bumped into the other? Who is she calling? And why?

Lots of questions I will never know the answer to. Feels good.

snow patterns

On a wall I pass every day.

A natural design.

the sami national day

Today is the Sami National Day. Lihkku Sámi álbmotbeivviin!

Cool flag (the Sami flag is the one in the middle).

action by night

Last night around midnight. A man and his dog.

Quiet neighbourhood.

snow dunk

Anyone for basketball?

It's never been easier to dunk. Thank you snow shovelers.

the missing piece

Kristoffer forgot one of his gloves today. So I had to go back and fetch it.

Got back while they were still warming up.

Thank God it's possible to skate with just one glove.

there's beauty and there's hope in winter

Like a symbolistic oil painting. My favourite genre.

A lonely light in the midst of winter.

trend 2013: mobility

Some people in this world drive, others run.

I walk.

the quiet fjord

The Oslo Fjord, Tuesday afternoon.

Two ferry boats carrying people across ice cold water.

winter tree

A tree behind a wall.

Looks like it wants to break free. Through the wall. Away from winter.

Monday, February 4

another groundhog day completed

Before bandy:

After bandy:

Monday Monday. Can trust that day. Same routine every week.

on the road just before and after sunset

Driving around in winter.

On my way to bandy practice with Kristoffer:

On my way to pick him up after practice:

Short scenic drives.

and then it was time to go home

It had been snowing all day.

Walking through fresh, wet, thick and heavy snow. Good excercise, I guess.

once upon a midnight dreary

Well, I'm not a big fan... but when I first started watching what the Americans call football it was hard not to be impressed by the great no. 16 – Joe Montana. So the 49ers quickly became my team.

I didn't watch the game last night (after midnight Norwegian time) and I didn't ponder weak and weary, but early this morning when I got the result I cursed the ravens and said: "Nevermore"!

Today I wore my shirt with pride.

snow, mist and monday

Time to sum up a hectic day.

The Temple of telecom, Monday morning:

Magnificant and melancholic.

Sunday, February 3

it's not just super bowl today

Stabæk Boys 2002 in blue with Kristoffer in red (almost as usual):

We (well...the boys) won 15-7.

what's your number?

Behind every number there's a person.

Kids being debriefed after a handball match today.

bandy of the day

In between games, Henrik and Kristoffer:

After thre wins (5-1, 7-3 and 2-1):

Another great day for Stabæk 2002.

good morning on the 7th day

Up early today, First bandy match at 9.

Something fundamental and ancient about the sunrise. Fiat lux.

Saturday, February 2

a famous hill

Saturday driving in the neigbourhood. Can you spot the no. 1 tourist trap in Oslo?

There it is – a ski jumping hill on top of a hill:

Holmenkollbakken

off season observation

The benches are turned upside down in the snow. Waiting for the teams, players and coaches.

And for the janitor to fix the holes.

they still exist (just in case)

The classic red phone booth.

Even though every 8 year old in the neighbourhood carries a smartphone.

cows with parachutes

Today's most strange-looking car design.

Mobile cowbile.

mobile identity

What's your interpretation of "Mobility" – the no. 1 consumer trend of 2013 (according to Norwegian trendexperts)

Take a picture with Instagram and mark it #mobilidentitet! Or just look at the photos and be inspired.

too late for christmas too early for football

In between seasons:

(Well, we do play football but not here.)

leaving the temple

On my way home from the Temple of telecom.

The Oslo Fjord on the first of February.
